How to perform these bodyweight workouts:

How to do Planks

  • Lie straight on the floor while positioning your face towards the floor with the help of your elbows.
  • Your elbows should be directly beneath your shoulders.
  • Your body should be straight from head to toe.

Plank - Body Weight Exercise

How to do Ballet Twists

  • Sit on the floor, extending legs and pressing them together firmly.
  • From the hips, lean back at forty-five degree angle.
  • Place right arm on the floor while twisting torso to the right and keeping left arm reaching overhead for 3 slow counts.
  • Repeat movement with the left arm on the floor.

How to do Sit-ups

  • Bend your knees while placing your feet flat on the floor.
  • Place your hands on opposing shoulders so that your arms are closed behind your head.
  • Lift until you are about thirty degree off the floor. Then stay for a second, exhale and then slowly return to starting position.

How to do Mountain Climber

  • Get into plank position as described earlier.
  • Put forward your right knee, while touching tip of your toes to the floor.
  • Bring back the right knee to its initial (plank) position.
  • Now repeat the same with left knee.
  • Keep up the pace by moving your left or right knees quickly.

How to do Crunches

  • Bend your knees while placing your feet flat on the floor.
  • Place your hands behind your head without contacting your fingers together by placing your thumbs precisely behind your ears.
  • Lift your head off the floor and slowly bring back to its initial position.

How to do Lunges

  • Stand straight while keeping a gap between your legs.
  • Move forward you right leg and bent both the knees nearly at ninety degree. Keep your upper body or head straight. Ensure the knee of the left leg remains above the floor. Also keep the knee of the right leg straight above the foot.
  • Now repeat with the left leg.
  • You can walk straight as well by keeping right leg forward first and then left leg or vice versa.

How to do Lunges

How to do Squats

  • Stand straight while open your feet wide.
  • Bring your arms up right in front of your chin.
  • Bend both the knees so that there is ninety degree angle between your thigh and ankle by moving your hips downward.
  • While squatting, ensure your back remain straight.
  • Now stay in this position for some seconds and then again move back to your initial position (standing straight) slowly while keeping your back straight.
  • Repeat the process.

How to do Glute Bridge

Glute bridge is highly recommended body weight exercise for lower body which greatly helps in strengthening your glutes, core muscles and back muscles.

  • Lie straight on your back on the floor while keeping your knees bent. Place your arms straight on the floor as well. 
  • Now lift your hips upward so that your knees, hips and upper body makes a straight line like bridge.
  • Tight your abs and Stay some seconds in this position.
  • Now revert back to original position.
